I’m a painter and designer from Pettswood in Kent, England. Great you stopped by and I hope you will not be disappointed in what you see here.
I love painting the sea and being in it, on it or near it; I also paint flora and fauna.
Inspired by direct observation, textiles esp oriental carpets, colour, form, pattern, 13th century Nishapur pottery, music and the human form.
I went to St Martins and Central School of Art & Design where I studied printed and woven textiles.
I was a commercial textile designer in Sydney Australia where I got married and had my 2 sons. I have always been influenced by indigenous art in general. I also worked for Designer Rugs.
English clients include the National Gallery of London & 45 Park Lane for the Dorchester Collection. I designed souvenir art puzzles of London for them.
Currently working as a supply/art teacher and learning how to promote my work on here, Instagram and Facebook.
